Hestia is a great bilingual daycare, with an amazing group of teachers and super nice facilities! The Reggio-Emilia approach and especially their empathy during the adjustment period has been something we have really appreciated!

Hestia is an amazing bilingual (Dutch/English) daycare located next to the Amstelland Hospital. The best thing about them is the teachers - they are warm and genuinely care about the children. I've always felt they worked together with us in caring for our kids (we've been with Hestia for almost 4 years). Pros: -amazing teachers who go above and beyond to support/care/comfort the kids -warm lunches, made on site by the teachers -lots of outdoor/messy play NOTE: this means your kids will play in the rain, snow, and mud and will come back with very dirty clothes. -fun learning activities, sometimes with themes Cons: -Admin is slow, sometimes takes a little while before they respond. This has improved in recent years. -more expensive than other daycares. For me the price difference is worth it due to the teachers and also warm lunches

Initially when we sent our kids to Hestia, they would do a number of different activities with them but now it seems that they are more focused on making money (they charge much more than the max hourly rate) then on the care they provide the kids. Very disappointing!
